The first Sabbath Thoughts was just a simple email sent out to maybe ten or twelve of my friends who were interested. It sort of grew from there as more people found out about it and asked to be added to the weekly mailing list—today Sabbath Thoughts consists of a mailing list, this blog, a Facebook page, and a Twitter account. You can join the mailing list and receive the latest Sabbath Thought via email by entering your email address in the box at the bottom of this page and following the instructions from there!
It’s been encouraging to watch all this grow from a handful of friends on a mailing list to what it is today. I started writing Sabbath Thoughts because I feel I have a better handle on what I’m studying when I can put it into words—hopefully some of those words can be helpful to others in their own study and meditation. As long as that’s the case, I intend to keep writing.
My special thanks and gratitude go to my wife, Mary, who encourages me to keep writing even when it gets tough, and to my brother, Drew, who made sabbaththoughts.com a reality and makes sure the gears ’round here keep turning no matter how many times my technical incompetence throws a monkey wrench into the mix!
