    So often I’ve heard people talk about Christ using the water to project His voice and how brilliant that was, but I can’t help but think every time, “…He’s Jesus. He could have projected His voice without the use of water…”

    This Chapter gets me everytime! Especially the following verses.

    I think back to the early to mid 90s with the breakup of God’s Church and the closing of Ambassador University. And my lack of faith that our God was in control.

    Many were babes in Christ at that time and were led astray. I was crushed spiritually and hung on by a thread. I felt that I had climbed to the top of a ladder and was pushed off by God. I needed to begin climbing again. Thankfully in God’s love and mercy I am back midway to the top with so much more to learn, understand, and internalize. I pray almost daily for those babes and all others who have lost their way that our God who is Love will guide them, draw them back to Him and grant them repentance.

    Mark 4:
    14 The sower sows the word.
    15 And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts. 16 These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
    17 and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they stumble.

    AND…

    Mark 4:
    39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
    40 But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?”

    I remember hearing that Jesus needs to be the calm in the midst of our storm, and that’s always stuck with me. If He’s in our boat, what have we got to be worried about?

    Easier said than done!
