A Read & Reflect Check-In

Hey everyone!

We’ve been doing Read & Reflect for a couple months now, and since it’s still a brand new addition to the site, I wanted to check in with the community and see what everyone thinks of it.

My biggest question (see poll below) is a matter of frequency. Is a chapter every day too much to read and comment on? I thought it wasn’t at first, but I’ve fallen behind multiple times already.

I also want to know any other thoughts you might have about Read & Reflect. Is it helpful to you? Is there a feature that could make it more helpful? Do you follow along without commenting (and if so, what would make you want to comment)?

And of course if you are following along, please let me know what books we should cover next in the comments!

I want this part of the site to be useful to as many people as possible, and I don’t want to drag it along if it isn’t serving that purpose. So please, if you’ve got thoughts—now’s the time to speak up!

How often should we do Read & Reflect?

I’ll plan on resuming Read & Reflect on Monday based on what I hear from you all.

Have a great rest of your week!

Until next time,

Jeremy

I absolutely love Read & Reflect!!! It adds such meaning to my daily prayer, Bible study, and meditation. I tend to comment daily and even go back a few chapters to see any additional comments. I have found the books we have covered so far very helpful. I would like to continue on with the Book of Acts and the Epistles. Reading and focusing on one chapter per day is more useful to me than reading through a One Year Bible Reading Program. When I do that type I find I don’t take the time to really dig in to what I am reading. I also have been journaling the daily comments in a Read & Reflect section on my One Note app for easy future reference. Thanks so much for making this available for us.

I love Read and reflect. I too thought daily would be OK. I don’t know if it is the holy days or laziness but I couldn’t keep up. I enjoy reading the comments and the chapter for the day. Thank you please continue.

I chose Mon. Wed. and Fri. and I find Read and Reflect very helpful. I tend to “catch up” every few day so I will read two or three segments at once. I read along, and enjoy the comments but I am not one to leave a comment. Read and Reflect is a nice addition to my Bible Study Routine – as is Sabbath Thoughts. I appreciate your effort and do hope you continue. Thank You Mr. Jeremy.

I enjoy seeing what other people comment, but I don’t comment (shyness mostly). I tend to read a few at a time and usually start with the comments as it makes me read the passages with a different perspective than I might have without seeing someone else’s point of view first.
