I think about how this was the last inspired piece of the Biblical canon for almost four centuries. And four centuries later, the Biblical narrative resumes with John the Baptist, who was in part fulfilling the prophecies of this chapter. God works at scales and on timelines I can’t begin to grasp.

The sum of the matter. All of Malachi is sobering. V2 ‘But unto you who fear my name’ has been on my mind since I heard it read at the Feast of Tabernacles in Deut as part of why we were there.

I am wondering who will fulfill v. 5…

‘Malachi 4:5 5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet
Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.”

Once again the Domino’s are lining up the could trigger the Great Tribulation. I feel God is preparing His people through all of the resources available for us to make use of so that we can focus on what truly matters and getting our spiritual life in order. The Bible tells us that in the end time love will grow cold. Could that be the love of the truth, could it be zeal for God’s Word could it be love towards each other. Or frighteningly could it be all three. Much to reflect on especially as God’s Holy Day cycle for 2025 will be starting soon.

Mal 4:2  “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. “Mr. Johnson talked about this on the LGD in San Diego a few years ago. It has stuck with, the joy mankind will have when Christ returns, and Satan is bound. (Tell him someone remembers! 🙂 )
