The end of Verse 7 really spoke to me . “Do not My words do good to him who walks up uprightly ?” That shows me I have a part in Gods blessings. Whether I choose to be obedient to Gods will and way of life or not.
In reflecting on vs 12-13 what came to my mind is the restoration of spiritual Israel, looking forward to the time when God’s Church of true Christians – no matter what physical organisation – will come together as one with Christ as the Head leading us.
As a side note – And the day the tares will be separated out whether false ministry misleading those in their care, or false members who breed disunity.
Micah 2
Israel Restored…
12 “I will surely assemble all of you, O Jacob, I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together like sheep of the fold, Like a flock in the midst of their pasture; They shall make a loud noise because of so many people. 13 The one who breaks open will come up before them; They will break out, Pass through the gate, And go out by it; Their king will pass before them, With the LORD at their head.”

The NET has a pretty sobering (pun intended?) translation of verse 11:
“If a lying windbag should come and say,
‘I’ll promise you blessings of wine and beer,’
he would be just the right preacher for these people!”
God didn’t have a high estimation of His people at this point in time…
It’s interesting that what God is upset about is His people’s treatment of other people. These same sorts of actions are happening today.
