Proverbs 24:10 is a hard one for me. I seem to crumble pretty easily when faced with any sort of stress or “adversity.” I cannot imagine how I would react to persecution.
I find verse 25 interesting. It seems like multiple times in the book so far we’ve been told that a wise man holds his tongue and it’s better to just keep silent. But here I’m assuming this is open rebuke? Maybe not?
Proverbs 24:13-14 13 My son, eat honey because it is good,
And the honeycomb which is sweet to your taste;
14 So shall the knowledge of wisdom be to your soul;
If you have found it, there is a prospect,
And your hope will not be cut off.
Focusing on the positive Proverbs, I love sweets, especially chocolate! I love the analogy of wisdom being “chocolate” to my soul – mind & spirit 😋.
