I’ve read this many times, but I guess the thing that jumps out of me is that Ruth never question Naomi about going to the threshing floor she just said I’ll do it kinda like Abraham did , when God told him to leave . I know this is a lot about faith and following God’s law and the relationship between Christ and the church, but it makes me question myself. Do I Say yes, I’ll obey when I read in the scriptures where I need to change Or when the spirit moves me that I need to change my attitude, my way of thinking . There’s so much In this love story
I feel the same way, wondering how I will react in the difficult times ahead. I pray daily for the strength physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally to be able to remain grounded and steadfast in times of persecution.
In addition to my reply to Sarah, I also ponder on the wisdom of Naomi in helping Ruth do what needed to be done for Ruth’s future and how Ruth listened and followed her advice even though Boaz was an older man and not someone closer to Ruth’s age.

“And now, my daughter, do not fear. I will do for you all that you ask, for all my fellow townsmen know that you are a worthy woman” (verse 11).
I wonder how much time passed between Naomi’s return to Israel and this statement. Seems like Ruth’s character was obvious to everyone who met her.
And what a relief it must have been to know that, one way or another, the issue was going to be resolved that same day!
