You Can Read These Words

Right now, you are reading these words.

Have you ever thought about how absolutely wild that is?

As you look at this mess of lines and curves and empty space, your brain is busy resolving it all into familiar building blocks, assigning meaning to each of them and interpreting their intent.

That’s incredible.

And you can do that, not just for these words, but for the most important words ever written.

Spend some time with your Bible today, appreciating what a privilege it is to be viewing and understanding the inspired, God-breathed words of those who came before us.

What a gift.

Until next time,

Jeremy

We definitely have an amazing mind. It’s hard to imagine God’s awesome mind. Thanks for your thoughts.

It’s even more amazing when you consider that you can take out 60 percent of the letters from a sentence and still be able to read it! Your brain fills in the letters! Kinda like autocorrect on your phone!! There really is nothing new under the sun!
    Thank you, Jeremy!

I have often thought how we have decided that certain shapes or squiggles mean certain sounds and that those sounds mean things. When you consider all the languages and scripts in the world, it is fascinating. To think that someone decided this in the beginning, and then recorded the very words of God so that we have it at our hand at any moment, is an incredible blessing!
