    Verse 20 moves me this morning too long for the time when everyone knows God and truth will flow freely and repentance is real

    It’s hard to comprehend the magnitude of v.5-7! Betrayed by our own family and friends – physical and spiritual for we in the Church are in God’s family. We must guard our minds and hearts to not let our love grow cold in obedience and towards each other, but we must bear with each other’s idiosyncrasies and grow in the fruit of the Holy Spirit looking to God and trusting in Him for ultimate deliverance from our enemies. Remembering to hate the sin, but love the sinner, for it is by the Grace of God go we.

    Micah 7:
    5 Do not trust in a friend;
    Do not put your confidence in a companion;
    Guard the doors of your mouth
    From her who lies in your bosom.
    6 For son dishonors father,
    Daughter rises against her mother,
    Daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law;
    A man’s enemies are the men of his own household.
    7 Therefore I will look to the LORD;
    I will wait for the God of my salvation;
    My God will hear me.

      Unfortunately I lived experience with this verse. It reminds me daily to hold on to God.

    This is to me about only trusting in the Lord’s word. We must be loving and patient with our family and friends, for they can bring us down. Remember they are not responsible for your salvation. Only we ourselves can allow Jesus to lead us into all truth and let the holy Spirit guide us. Other voices will only confuse and or deceive us. Stay focused on Jesus and His word.
