It’s hard to comprehend the magnitude of v.5-7! Betrayed by our own family and friends – physical and spiritual for we in the Church are in God’s family. We must guard our minds and hearts to not let our love grow cold in obedience and towards each other, but we must bear with each other’s idiosyncrasies and grow in the fruit of the Holy Spirit looking to God and trusting in Him for ultimate deliverance from our enemies. Remembering to hate the sin, but love the sinner, for it is by the Grace of God go we.
Micah 7:
5 Do not trust in a friend;
Do not put your confidence in a companion;
Guard the doors of your mouth
From her who lies in your bosom.
6 For son dishonors father,
Daughter rises against her mother,
Daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law;
A man’s enemies are the men of his own household.
7 Therefore I will look to the LORD;
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
My God will hear me.
Verse 20 moves me this morning too long for the time when everyone knows God and truth will flow freely and repentance is real
